A Tribute To The Founders of Blueberry hill Farm
—
We would like to pay a special tribute to Frank and Virginia Robinson. In 1962 Frank and Virginia planted the first 1000 highbush blueberry plants here on the farm. Once these bushes survived a winter or two, they continued with the planting until ten acres had been planted. These are the same bushes that are here on the farm today and are still producing. The Robinson’s gravesite is here on the farm.
Once the blueberry bushes started to produce and before it was all pick-your-own, (it became all pick-your-own in 1974) many local teenagers were hired to pick the berries and to do various farm work. We were two of those teenagers. This farm is where we met and have raised our family. Come to the farm to pick your own blueberries or have our farm be a part of your special day!
