Annual Open Farm Day: July 21, 2013

Our annual "Agricultural Open House" is scheduled for Sunday, July 21, 2013, from 10:00am - 3:00pm. There will be free coffee, juice and a variety of baked blueberry goodies. We will have an assortment of our favorite blueberry recipes for you to take home and try with your own fresh picked berries. Do you have a recipe that you would like to share? Bring it along!

When Visiting the Farm to Pick Blueberries, Please Note:

Our picking season usually starts mid-July and can run through September, sometimes even into October, depending on the crop and thanks to our late variety. Once our picking season begins, we are open 8am-5pm every day that we have enough ripe berries to be picked. Occasionally, during the season we have to close a few times to allow the blueberries to ripen. However, some seasons we don't need to close at all. It is best that you call the farm in advance at 207-457-1151 to hear a recording confirming that we are open or if we have had to close for ripening.

Health Benefits of Blueberries

Recent research shows that blueberries provide more antioxidants than most other fruits and vegetables, even broccoli! They help ward off cancer, heart disease, and Alzheimer's. They help control cholesterol and prevent urinary tract infections!
